Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is hiring at DoubleTree Newark Airport in Newark, NJ to welcome guests and provide attentive service as a restaurant server. This role supports guests from greeting to dining, ensuring a warm, efficient experience in a busy hotel setting.

You will take and serve orders, perform side-work, answer menu questions, operate the POS system where applicable, and check that dishes meet appearance and temperature standards before serving.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Able to communicate well with guests.
• Willing to pitch in and help co-workers.
• Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly according to service manual.
• Perform necessary set-up sidework as assigned.
• Answer guest questions about the menu.
• Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system where applicable.
• Check food before serving to ensure proper appearance, temperature, and portions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
