Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Security Officer to maintain a safe environment at Royal Oak Hospital. The role may require PA 330 certification and the ability to arrest for certain offenses, with duties spanning patrols, access control, and incident reporting.

Responsibilities include supporting Security Operations Center, assisting staff and visitors, and using de-escalation techniques in tense situations while coordinating with local authorities when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of law-enforcement or security experience required.
• Ability to lead others during emergencies.
• CPL license and TASER training required.
• MI Driver's License required.
• BLS, AED and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus on foot, in vehicle, or on bike as assigned.
• Enforce hospital rules and policies; assist patients, staff and visitors.
• Monitor security operations center activities and report findings.
• Prepare daily activity and incident reports; coordinate with management.
