Job summary

PIH Health Downey is seeking a dedicated food service professional to prepare salads, sandwiches, desserts, and snacks following established menus and recipes. You will log temperatures and manage the patient trayline, ensuring timely meal delivery to nursing stations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Additionally, you will perform cleaning duties, restock areas, and assist with cash register transactions. Evening shifts are offered with competitive hourly pay and benefits typical for PIH Health.

Qualifications

• Must follow standardized recipes and portion control protocols.
• Ability to use knives, large food production equipment and tools.
• Ability to use cash register and make change.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, sandwiches, desserts, and snacks per recipes.
• Log hot/cold food temps and refrigerator/freezer temps on trayline.
• Deliver meal carts and late trays to patient nursing stations.
• Perform cleaning tasks including dishwashing and sanitation.
• Stock and clean work areas; maintain trayline setup and service.
