Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for Mount Sinai Hospital on the Evening Shift. The role oversees the maintenance department, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable facility operations.

It involves coordinating staff, managing repairs, and maintaining inventory. Applicants should have supervisory experience in healthcare, familiarity with MEP systems, and proficiency in Windows Office.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Must be knowledgeable in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems
• Proficient in Windows based office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and controls activities of maintenance department to keep staff engaged in maintaining, repairing, and renovating facilities
• Maintains flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of assigned workload and adherence to standards of quality control
• Maintains adequate inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies and initiates requisitions as needed
• In the absence of the Director and Assistant Director, assumes full responsibilities of the department, shares weekend duties with the other managers in the department
• Monitors and inspects employee work performance to assure performance standards are maintained through use of computer reports
• Orients and trains new employees and provides continuing guidance and on-the-job training to all assigned personnel
• Prepares performance evaluations for assigned personnel
• Monitors and coordinates a variety of preventative maintenance and building and property repair and improvement projects performed by vendors and contractors, inspects completed work and approves requests for payment regarding same
• Serves as a member of the facility's fire response team
