Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Environmental Care Technician to support the hospital's Environmental Services team on the Evening shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm with every other weekend). The role focuses on cleaning responsibilities, safe and courteous service for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Some on-the-job housekeeping in healthcare, hotel, or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Reading and understanding written instructions.
• Ability to read and write English for duty lists and procedures.
• Ability to use alphanumeric pager and telephone.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Be assigned to work with the Assistant Director or Housekeeping Supervisor regularly.
• Follow basic cleaning techniques and use department equipment and supplies.
• Provide timely, courteous, and safe services for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Accept additional assignments to support service excellence.
• Evenings and weekends may involve direction from the Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
