Job summary

Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, OH is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will be responsible for cleaning patient rooms, common areas and clinical spaces, following infection prevention protocols and hospital policies.

This full-time role offers benefits and a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with opportunities to support infection control, sanitation, laundry duties, and supply management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• General/ Entry Level Position.

Responsibilities

• Bathrooms: cleans and disinfects fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows and walls daily.
• Patient Rooms: performs terminal cleaning and prepares room for new occupants or long-term patients.
• Fixtures, Surfaces, Furnishings: dusts, wipes, sanitizes, and polishes; cleans and changes linens as needed.
• Floors & Carpets: sweeps, mops, vacuums, and spot cleans.
• Laundry: handles waste removal and laundry tasks.
• Stairways & Windows: spot cleans, washes and maintains cleanliness.
• End of Shift: returns unused supplies and cleans equipment and carts.
• Policies & Procedures: follows hospital and department policies including infection control.
