Job summary

Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center is hiring a Housekeeper/Environmental Services Tech to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform a variety of housekeeping duties and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the facility.

This is a full-time evening shift with emphasis on infection control, proper use of equipment, and teamwork within the Environmental Services team to support excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED.
• Less than one year experience in institutional housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all areas according to departmental standards.
• Ensures proper infection control procedures when processing linen, trash, medical waste, and performing cleaning tasks.
• Demonstrates awareness and understanding of the PI Program, Excellence in Action, Competencies, and the Mission & Vision of Presbyterian.
• Maintains and uses housekeeping equipment properly and safely.
• Reports pertinent information to the supervisor or appropriate authority.
• Performs departmental record keeping.
• Performs all duties necessary to ensure appropriate linen and supply levels.
• Performs floor care.
