Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II for Swedish Hospital. This part-time evening role (20 hours/week, 5pm–10pm) involves patient room and ancillary area cleaning, including isolation/terminal cleaning and handling equipment.

You will maintain supplies, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with the Environmental Services team to support clean, safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Must be able to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient room and ancillary area cleaning per standards, including isolation/terminal cleaning.
• Handle and clean equipment used in patient rooms and ancillary areas.
• Maintain supplies (paper products, soap, sharps containers) and ensure cart/equipment are clean.
• Adhere to safety guidelines for cleaning chemicals and labeling.
• Assist in providing a positive, service-oriented environment for patients and staff.
