Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II for part-time evenings at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. The role includes cleaning patient rooms and ancillary areas, handling isolation/terminal cleaning, and maintaining supplies and equipment in alignment with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with the correct use of body mechanics.
• The ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• The communications skills necessary to understand written and verbal instructions.
• The organizational skills necessary to coordinate, prioritize and accomplish multiple work assignments.
• The ability to work on call and overtime when necessary, including all holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient room and ancillary area daily cleaning per departmental and corporate standards.
• Cleans isolation/terminal rooms and equipment used in patient rooms and ancillary areas.
• Maintains clean and orderly housekeeping carts and equipment daily.
• Utilizes cleaning chemicals safely and follows safety specifications.
• Ensures adequate supplies of paper products and cleaning necessities in assigned areas daily.
• Provides a positive, service-minded environment through teamwork and attitude.
• Reports any equipment or facility repairs needed.
