Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring an Environmental Services Technician I in Warrenville, IL. You will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and ancillary areas, including isolation/terminal cleaning, to ensure infection control and safety for patients and staff.

You’ll follow safety protocols, manage supplies, and support a positive, service-focused environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work on evenings, with on-call availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with the correct use of body mechanics.
• The ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• The communications skills necessary to understand written and verbal instructions.
• The organizational skills necessary to coordinate, prioritize and accomplish multiple work assignments.
• The ability to work on call and overtime when necessary, including all holidays.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, performs patient room and ancillary area daily cleaning per departmental and corporate standards.
• Cleans isolation/terminal rooms and equipment used in patient rooms to ensure standards.
• Maintains cleanliness and order of housekeeping cart and equipment daily.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely and keeps labels current on chemicals.
• Monitors supplies like paper products and hand soap daily in assigned areas.
• Removes and replaces full sharps and secures medication storage locations as needed.
• Supports a positive customer service environment through teamwork and a proactive attitude.
• Communicates with area manager daily to address concerns and uphold service standards.
• Observes equipment and facility areas for repairs and reports issues daily.
