Job summary

Advocate Trinity Hospital is seeking a Part-time Environmental Services worker to clean and disinfect assigned areas, including patient rooms and common spaces, following department procedures. The role includes operating cleaning equipment, handling chemicals safely, and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment for patients and staff.

Alternate weekends and holidays are required; shifts vary with a primary need for the 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Able to operate small electrical equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners) and read safety labels.
• Excellent customer service skills and clear English communication.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas (patient rooms, offices, rest rooms, common areas) following department procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment according to department procedures and schedules.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and pleasant hospital environment and protect patient confidentiality.
