Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Supervisor - Environmental Services for the 2nd shift. This full-time role (40 hours) leads daily housekeeping operations, schedules staff, trains personnel, and ensures safety and compliance with Joint Commission standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in environmental services with 1–2 years in supervision, plus basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in environmental services/housekeeping with 1–2 years in a leadership/supervisory role, hospital setting preferred.
• Formalized training in environmental cleaning programs and safety methodology preferred.
• Knowledge of proper and safe chemical use and handling.
• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Must possess honesty, integrity, and caring with ability to inspire and motivate others to promote Trinity Health values.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership, guidance and supervision of the daily Environmental Services operations.
• Plan, assign and monitor staff work performance; schedule, evaluate, and train staff.
• Assist the Director with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Support disciplinary processes as needed and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and state/federal laws.
