Qualifications

• High School level or equivalent preferred.
• Six months minimum experience in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing, rehab facility, or medical clinic preferred.
• Twelve months experience as a janitor in an office building or hotel housekeeping acceptable.
• IAMTAC certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to organize work tasks and complete them timely.
• Ability to physically handle workload requirements.
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and other staff.
• Flexible attitude toward varied tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cycle cleaning and non-scheduled projects per policy.
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbing machines, carpet extractors and vacuums.
• Strip and refinish hard floors; shampoo and extract carpets.
• Trash and linen removal, including biohazardous waste handling as assigned.
• Wash windows and clean curtains, blinds, and stairways per procedures.
• Maintain tools and storage areas in clean, organized condition.
