Job summary

UPMC Community is seeking a full-time housekeeping staff for evening shifts, with every other weekend and holiday requirements. You will clean patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment to hospital standards, and move equipment and hang blinds as needed.

Experience in housekeeping or customer service is preferred. You must follow safety rules and sanitation regulations while maintaining clean, sanitary facilities across the hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect areas to ensure proper cleaning and report problems.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment.
• Maintain and report on the condition of equipment.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture and blinds as assigned.
