Job summary

UPMC Hanover is looking for a Casual Housekeeper to maintain patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment to hospital standards, ensuring a clean, safe environment for all patients and staff. You will move equipment, furniture and hang blinds/curtains as needed.

Responsibilities include making beds in discharge areas and on-call rooms, inspecting areas for cleanliness, replenishing supplies, cleaning all areas, maintaining equipment, removing trash, and following all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect areas for cleanliness and report issues to supervisor.
• Replenish towels, toilet paper, and soap across assigned locations.
• Clean all assigned areas following established procedures.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition; clean and service as needed.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment and furniture; hang blinds/curtains as required.
