Job summary

Allina Health in Minnesota is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to help keep our hospital environments clean, safe and welcoming for patients, staff and visitors. The role focuses on cleaning, sanitizing, waste handling and maintaining orderly patient rooms, operating suites and public areas.

You will work 8-hour evening shifts as a 0.5 FTE position with every-other weekend rotation. The job supports a unionized environment, offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits to support

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of environmental services experience or high school diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas of heath care facility.
• Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms, operating rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, care centers and public areas.
• Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility.
• May stock clean linen in linen room and departments.
• Utilizes hospital equipment and supplies in a safe and effective manner.
• Keeps cleaning cart organized, clean and stocked.
• Keeps cleaning closets organized and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.
