Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital is seeking an Environmental Care Technician to perform housekeeping duties in the hospital environment. This full-time evening shift role involves working with the Environmental Services team under supervision and ensuring safe, courteous service for patients, visitors and staff.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and prior cleaning experience in healthcare or related settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some on-the-job experience as a housekeeper in healthcare, hotel, or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in writing and orally.
• Ability to read and write English regarding duty lists and policies.
• Ability to use alphanumeric pager and telephone.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department.
• Work with the Assistant Director or Housekeeping Supervisor regularly.
• Provide timely, courteous and competent services in a safe manner for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Accept additional assignments to support service excellence.
• Evening and weekend direction may come from the Supervisor as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
