Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will follow departmental procedures, perform routine and intensive cleaning, manage soiled linens and waste, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates show strong work ethic, attention to cleanliness, and a friendly approach to patients and staff.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform 6 step daily cleaning procedure in patient room to a level acceptable to the patient.
Perform checkout cleaning procedure in patient room according to departmental policies and procedures, including medical equipment.
Perform intensive cleaning procedures in specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Surgery and Pharmacy to a level acceptable that eliminates the risk of infection to the patient.
Removes and transports soiled linens, trash, infectious waste and recycling according to departmental policy and procedures.
Prioritize assisting customers above all other duties.
When cleaning an occupied room the Environmental Services Worker will follow organizational customer service script.
