Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, Arizona is hiring an HME Tech to deliver, set up and teach patients and caregivers how to safely use home medical equipment in their homes. You will visit patients, respond to service calls, and ensure equipment functions properly while keeping accurate records.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM with 4–6 on-call days; on-call troubleshooting and delivery rotation are required. Must be independent and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
• One year of experience in hospital, home care, HME, transportation or other healthcare related setting.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Loads, delivers, sets up and provides operational instructions and troubleshooting for home medical equipment to patients/caregivers.
• Completes required documentation for equipment delivery, setup, and education in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Responds to emergency delivery calls and participates in on-call rotation.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment and performs preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintains daily vehicle inspections, inventory, and route logs.
• Operates and maintains oxygen cylinder transfill station and warehouse functions.
• Works independently on-site with patients and families, balancing satisfaction with resource use.
