Wellstar Health System, Inc. seeks a Histologic Technologist to perform complete preparation of routine surgicals and autopsy tissues, including frozen sections, with embedding, cutting, staining, and coverslipping. The role also covers cytology prep, histochemistry, and IHC antibody validation under supervision.

• Must have HT certification and an associate degree.
• Experience with histology processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
• Proficiency in immunohistochemistry and histochemistry techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory policies and quality control in pathology labs.

Responsabilidades

• Embed surgical tissue, cut and stain HE slides with correct patient IDs.
• Verify specimen blocks against grossing reports and deliver to pathologist.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and maintain equipment in the pathology lab.
• Perform immunohistochemistry and histochemistry stains, validate antibodies and runs.
• Prepare test charges for sendouts and manage reference lab requisitions.
