Sentara Health seeks a Security Officer - Unarmed in Norfolk, VA. The role is fully onsite with evenings shift (2:30 PM to 10:30 PM) and Monday–Friday work schedule.

The officer patrols Sentara Hospitals and facilities, performs surveillance, maintains logs, and responds to incidents to ensure a safe environment. Required: high school diploma, 1 year security experience, valid driver's license, and willingness to carry a gun if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CHSO and Handle with Care certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1 year of security experience required.
• Must be willing to carry a gun, if needed.
• Must be capable of participating in a physical fitness assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a physically safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and employees.
• Actively patrol campus and monitor activity in and around buildings and grounds, responding to routine and emergency situations.
• Perform camera surveillance and maintain department logs and records.
• Use computer systems for documentation of daily activities and conduct security investigations.
• Support Fit for Duty assessments to ensure officers meet fitness standards.
