Job summary

Nationwide-Children is seeking a Housekeeper I to provide cleaning in patient care areas and common spaces across campus locations in Columbus, OH. This 2nd shift role runs Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays as directed by management.

You will follow the 10 Step Cleaning Process, use PPE properly, and coordinate with supervisors to address maintenance and safety concerns while delivering courteous service to patients, families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, required.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Demonstrate high degree of proficiency in the 10 Step Cleaning Process.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritise and multi-task.
• Displays positive customer service skills and promotes a team atmosphere.
• Previous housekeeping experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services patient care areas, offices, lobbies, bathrooms or other areas as assigned.
• Maintains closet, housekeeping cart and cleaning equipment in clean, orderly and good working condition.
• Maintains department’s standards of practice as evidenced by quality control inspections and customer feedback.
• Performs routine cleaning and coordinates with management to address and resolve facility maintenance, service issues and other concerns.
• Practices proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures. Maintains PPE and door precautions.
