Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper I for 2nd shift to service multiple locations in Columbus, OH. Work schedule is Monday-Friday 6p-2:30a with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness across patient care areas and common spaces, following the 10 Step Cleaning Process, and coordinating with management to address facility issues while observing infection control and PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services patient care areas, offices, lobbies, bathrooms or other areas as assigned.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the 10 Step Cleaning Process and appropriate chemical use to meet department standards.
• Performs routine cleaning and coordinates with management to address and resolve facility maintenance, service issues and other concerns.
• Practices proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures. Maintains proper use and knowledge of PPE and door precautions.
• Maintains closet, housekeeping cart and cleaning equipment in clean, orderly and good working condition.
• Maintains department’s standards of practice as evidenced by quality control inspections and customer feedback.
