Job summary

Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, is seeking a Night Gondola Operator to oversee loading and unloading for guests traveling to and from the Roundhouse Restaurant during evening operations.

The role emphasizes safety and attentive guest service, with inspections, lift procedures, and a focus on a clean, safe work environment. Work hours are roughly 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with additional evenings as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ and able to work evenings.
• Able to work outdoors in winter conditions.
• Must complete Lift Department training.
• Reliable and able to exercise sound judgment.
• Flexible with evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Winter season availability.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload guests and monitor gondola operations in accordance with Sun Valley safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required pre-operational procedures, inspections, and lift-closing procedures.
• Remain alert to guest safety and provide assistance to guests who may need additional support while loading or unloading.
• Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating guest needs and creating a welcoming and positive experience.
• Assist with snow removal, daily setup, and routine maintenance of work areas and equipment.
• Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to complete daily operational responsibilities.
• Communicate and work respectfully with Mountain Operations and other Resort departments to address operational or guest-related concerns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
