Job summary

The Eliot at Catskill Evening Receptionist is a part-time front desk role focused on creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents, families, and visitors. You will answer phones, greet guests, manage door access, and perform light clerical tasks to support daily operations within the facility.

Responsibilities include coordinating with staff to meet residents' needs, overseeing mealtime attendance, and maintaining a tidy, professional reception area.

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn phone systems and computer programs.
• Enjoys working with the elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in all guests to the facility.
• Assist staff in providing and coordinating services to residents, families, and guests.
• Answer telephone calls, direct calls appropriately, and respond to call bells timely.
• Assist residents and staff in solving problems and encourage participation in activities.
• Create and maintain a welcoming environment for residents, families, and guests.
• Oversee resident attendance at mealtimes.
• Oversee the Reception area for organization and compliance.
• Assist with coverage of the reception area or other departments as needed.
• Sort and distribute mail to individuals’ mailboxes if needed.
• Engage with residents to ensure a high level of satisfaction and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Light cleaning in the lobby and at the front desk.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Management Team.
• Adhere to and carry out all policies and procedures.
