Confidential is hiring for a dock associate to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers in Sparks, NV. The role involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks, verifying documentation, and securing freight for loading.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred), be 18 or older, and ideally have warehousing or freight handling experience. Physical ability to lift heavy items and work varying shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing/freight experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck as required.
• Verify documentation matches freight description using system.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
