Job summary

Saia is seeking a warehouse/dock associate in Reno, NV to load and unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks. You will verify shipments, secure loads, and help maintain a safe, efficient dock environment.

Responsibilities include operating dock tools, adhering to DOT regulations, and tracking shortages or damages. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and authorized to work in the United States. Strong attention to detail is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English for shipping documents and instructions

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and equipment per regulations
• Ensure secure loading and proper use of straps, bars, and dunnage
• Record shortages and damages; maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area
• Follow bill of lading and quality control procedures for timely, cost-efficient shipments
• Operate dock tools and verify shipments by reading labels and securing freight
