Job summary

Forward Air Corporation in Compton, CA is seeking a Dispatcher to plan, schedule and dispatch customer freight. You will serve as the main contact for drivers and coordinate timely delivery while supporting independent contractors.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, schedule, dispatch and plan customer freight shipments.
Be the main contact for driver communication via phone, Qualcomm and email.
Develop relationships with Independent Contractors within the fleet.
Provide exceptional support to drivers to meet their needs.
Monitor shipments to meet delivery schedules.
Respond to customers promptly, thoroughly and professionally.
Manage customer and driver expectations to align with operations.
Monitor driver hours and fleet performance.
Collaborate with Customer Service/Sales to resolve issues.
Other duties as assigned.
