Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking Forklift Operators to join our team in Georgetown, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will be an experienced forklift operator familiar with sit-down, stand-up, reach, clamp, or cherry picker equipment to move, load, locate, unload, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator with experience using sit-down, stand-up, reach, clamp, or cherry picker equipment.
• Strong reading skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit down counterbalance forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments and equipment needs.
• Load and unload trailers; move materials within the warehouse.
• Accurately match numbers and letters.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading.
• Open and close dock doors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Sort parts in racks or other designated areas.
• Stack pallets, bins, totes, etc.
• Comply with safety requirements.
• Counterbalance, Clamp Truck, Reach Truck, or Cherry Picker experience highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, multitasking, organizational, and time management skills required.
• Willingness to work overtime.
