Job summary

NHC HealthCare Oakwood is seeking a part-time evening Food Service Tech / Dishwasher to support patient and resident meals in a healthcare setting. Starting at 3:00 p.m., you will help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and assist with meal service.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, food prep support, dining room setup, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards. Prior food service or healthcare experience is helpful but not required; dependability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willing and able to work an evening schedule beginning at 3:00 p.m.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Previous food service, dishwashing, or health care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and food service equipment.
• Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen, dishwashing, dining, storage, and food preparation areas.
• Assist with dining room setup, meal service, and cleanup.
• Help prepare meal trays and support accurate and timely meal service.
• Assist with preparing and serving meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.
• Properly store food, supplies, dishes, and equipment.
• Follow safe food handling, sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
• Remove trash and assist with maintaining an organized work environment.
• Provide courteous service to patients, residents, families, visitors, and fellow partners.
• Assist the dietary team with additional duties as assigned.
