Job summary

NHC HealthCare Smithville is seeking a part-time Food Service Team Member to support patient meals and dining operations. The role involves helping with food prep, delivery, dishwashing, and related duties in a hospital environment, with weekend shifts and additional weekday opportunities.

You will join a team focused on teamwork and high-quality service in a healthcare setting, interacting with residents and families while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with food-handling practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with food handling and sanitation.
• Ability to assist with food prep and service.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and assure quality products.
• Scrape, wash, and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots/pans.
• Transport and store dishes and utensils to meet meal prep schedules.
• Clean and sanitize dish machine and dish room; keep work area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
