Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking a Food Service Attendant III for a part-time evening role in the Feinberg/Galter location. The position offers an hourly wage of $21.50 with a $0.97 shift differential and non-exempt status with overtime eligibility.

You will perform various food service tasks across cafeteria, kitchen, dish room, and transportation areas, adhering to sanitation standards and safety guidelines as part of the hospital’s food service program.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Physical demands: lift/carry up to 12 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow oral and written instructions and perform simple tasks.
• Operate equipment such as coffee dispensers, smoothie machines, soda dispensers.
• Knowledgeable in proper food handling techniques.
• Work safely, move carts and mop spills to prevent falls.
• Comply with sanitation standards and work procedures.
• Prepare and portion fruits and vegetables, desserts and salads for serving.
• Transport patient meal carts and special request trays to correct locations.
• Set up/break down serving lines as required.
• Serve foods in the cafeteria, including meat carving.
• Maintain and clean dispensers and condiment areas.
