Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Catering Associate for the Food Service Department with evenings. The role supports patient meal service, tray assembly, and timely delivery while adhering to diet restrictions and infection control standards.

Responsibilities include menu reading, tray preparation, and communication with patients and staff to ensure satisfaction. Two years of service experience and a Food Handling Certification are preferred; training programs are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of service experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintains positive and friendly manner during peak service times with focus on timeliness, accuracy and Service Excellence.
• Complete Catering to You Training modules and pass competency test.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal services including menu selection and tray assembly.
• Deliver and retrieve patient trays accurately and on time.
• Follow diet restrictions and HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in food handling.
• Participate in patient satisfaction rounds and service excellence initiatives.
