Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a Food Service Worker to support evening operations in Culinary & Nutrition. The role involves preparing, cooking, and serving food to ensure fresh, safe, and high-quality meals during non-traditional hours.

The position typically runs 3:30pm–12:00am, with weekends and rotating holidays required. Full benefits, shift differentials, uniform provisions and staff discounts are included.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and follow established policy and procedures.
• Food handlers' card required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up work station and prepare assigned foods and nourishments following procedures and portion controls.
• Sanitize dishes, utensils and kitchen areas; monitor dish machine temperature.
• Maintain par levels and restock items; rotate stock and check expiration dates.
• Check and record food and equipment temperatures; report discrepancies.
• Deliver meals or nourishments to units and assist with catering as needed.
• Handle cash register transactions if applicable.
• Interact with hospital staff, patients and families while upholding sanitation standards.
