Job summary

Columbia University in the City of New York is seeking a Porter to maintain the cleanliness and grounds of university apartment buildings and surrounding areas. The role is 40 hours per week with a 2:00pm–11:00pm schedule, Monday through Friday, and requires lifting heavy objects and performing outdoor maintenance.

Responsibilities include cleaning elevators, stairways, corridors, windows, floors and laundry rooms; trimming trees and shrubs, lawn care, snow removal, and sidewalk washing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with building and grounds maintenance is a plus.
