Job summary

Porter-Gaud School is seeking an Evening Shift Team Leader/Event Support Coordinator to supervise custodial staff and assist with campus events. This 12-month, full-time non-exempt role reports to the Assistant Director of Facilities-Services and includes health insurance, paid leave, school-provided lunch, and a 403(b) retirement plan.

Duties include leading a team, coordinating event setups, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining safety and compliance across campus.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and support a team during shifts.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and compliance with policies.
• Experience coaching or supervising employees is preferred.
• Prior work in a school environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of evening shift custodians and provide direction for assigned areas.
• Coordinate and support campus events, including setup and post-event cleanup.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across facilities.
• Assist with supplies, equipment, and sustainability programs.
• Communicate operational needs to Facilities-Services leadership.
