Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, SC invites applicants for the Evening Shift Team Leader/Event Support Coordinator. You will lead a custodial team, support campus events, and ensure safety and cleanliness across facilities.
This 12-month, full-time role requires flexibility, after-hours work, and collaboration with school personnel. Responsibilities include supervising evening staff, coordinating event setups, maintaining supplies, and contributing to sustainability efforts.
Porter-Gaud School is an Episcopal, independent, coeducational day school with 1,650 students in preschool through 12th grade.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Facilities for Services and works closely with other Facilities employees. This is a 12-month, full-time non-exempt position with benefits including health insurance, paid leave, school-provided lunch, and availability of 403(b) retirement plan.
Duties include working with and leading a team of evening shift custodians to accomplish the tasks assigned and to provide support for events when requested or scheduled.
Other duties may include counseling and training evening shift employees.
Flexibility is essential. This position will/may be required to work when the School is closed which may include holidays, weekends and extended hours in summer.
Availability to attend events at any/all of the three Porter-Gaud/O'Quinn campuses, during both regular and off work hours is required.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
