Job summary

Waterloo Community School District is seeking a General Maintenance technician for the 2nd shift to support district-wide maintenance, grounds, Memorial Stadium, and evening operations. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and a pesticide applicator license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• State pesticide applicator license required or allowed 90-day grace period to acquire license.
• General maintenance, grounds, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and minor repairs at district buildings and facilities.
• Respond to work orders and evening maintenance needs throughout the District.
• Provide facility and operational support at Memorial Stadium and other athletic facilities, including event setup and teardown.
• Assist with mowing, trimming, grounds maintenance, and seasonal cleanup.
• Participate in snow and ice removal and operate snow-removal equipment as assigned.
• Assist with setup and teardown for athletic events and district activities.
• Operate district vehicles, mowing equipment, snow-removal equipment, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
• Identify and report safety, maintenance, and facility concerns.
• Assist district maintenance and grounds as needed.
