Job summary

Moses Lake School District 161 is seeking a General Maintenance/Grounds employee for the second shift in the Maintenance Department. You will maintain district grounds, athletic facilities, and exterior spaces to ensure safe, functional campuses for students and staff.

Responsibilities include lawn care, field maintenance, irrigation system monitoring, and coordination with maintenance, custodial, and facilities staff. A valid WA driver’s license and prior grounds experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Washington driver’s license with clean record.
• Two years of vocational training in grounds maintenance or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related work.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance practices and irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain District grounds to provide safe, clean, attractive outdoor environments.
• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns and landscaped areas.
• Maintain athletic fields and related facilities; prep and seasonally maintain fields.
• Trim trees, shrubs, and vegetation for safety and aesthetics.
• Monitor and program irrigation systems; troubleshoot leaks and seasonal startup.
