Job summary

Latin School of Chicago is seeking a reliable Evening Custodian to clean offices and school facilities. The role follows a 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Pay is $21.42 per hour with a favorable benefits package and time-off plan.

Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, restroom sanitation, equipment maintenance, trash disposal, door security, and event setup. Snow removal and floor care are also part of duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning office buildings and schools.
• Ability to work evening hours.
• Capable of operating custodial equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and restocking supplies.
• Maintain and perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies.
• Remove trash and dispose of it properly; ensure proper waste handling.
• Unlock and secure doors after cleaning areas.
• Shovel snow and assist with snow removal as needed.
• Strip, wax and buff floors, and operate carpet extraction equipment when required.
• Clean washrooms and offices and assist with setup for events as needed.
