Job summary

Building Services of America is seeking a Janitor in Chicago, IL. This part-time, on-site role runs Monday–Friday and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, paying $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely (vacuum, floor buffers).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Physical stamina, ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Basic maintenance and repair skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in common areas, hallways, and lobbies.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms to maintain hygiene standards.
• Empty trash and maintain clean waste areas.
• Clean and maintain windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Report maintenance needs and assist with minor repairs.
• Monitor and replenish janitorial supplies; manage supply room.
