Job summary

Village of Hanover Park seeks a part-time Custodian to perform a range of custodial tasks at Village facilities. The role covers interior/exterior cleaning, floor maintenance, snow removal, and event setup. You will operate custodial equipment and Village vehicles while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and some janitorial experience, with a valid Illinois driver's license. The typical hours are Monday through Friday, 5 pm to 9 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months janitorial experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of interior and exterior Village facilities.
• Perform snow removal activities.
• Wash windows and clean floors; strip and wax floors; scrub restrooms.
• Operate custodial equipment and Village vehicles as needed.
• Assist with setup, operation, and teardown of Village special events.
• Report unsafe conditions and supply needs to supervisory personnel.
