Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and upkeep inside client facilities. The role is full-time with evening hours and pays $17 per hour, with weekly pay. Responsibilities are flexible per client specifications.

You will maintain floors, restrooms, common areas, and surfaces using proper cleaners and equipment. The position requires attention to detail and ability to follow instructions, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or six months janitorial experience.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extracts and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
