Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and upkeep inside a building or on multiple client sites. The role covers cleaning, restrooms, floors, and common areas with flexibility to meet client specifications.

Part-time or full-time evening shifts are available. Pay is $15 per hour with weekly payroll. On-the-job training is provided; strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or six months of janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned per client’s scope of work.
