Job summary

Apex Tool Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Group Lead for our Jonesboro, AR facility. The role leads a fabrication/welding work cell, ensuring production plans are executed and safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities include coaching, reporting performance, and coordinating with supervisors. Overtime flexibility and strong leadership are required to drive daily operations on 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Solid mechanical ability is required.
• Understanding of business and production workflow is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation in the fabrication/welding work cell.
• Support production plans by setting priorities with supervisors.
• Report issues to production management and monitor team performance.
• Provide training, coaching and feedback to new employees.
• Address training opportunities and facilitate team meetings.
• Submit work orders and maintain safety/regulatory compliance.
• Assist as an operator when needed and participate in overtime as required.
