Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY in Jonesboro, AR seeks a Group Lead for the 2nd shift in the Fabrication/Welding cell. The role supports daily operations, oversees associates, and works with supervisors to execute production plans.

Overtime and safety compliance are expected responsibilities. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience plus strong leadership, mechanical ability, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation in given work area.
• Work with production supervisors to carry out production plans.
• Report issues to supervisors/management.
• Monitor team performance and report metrics.
• Address team feedback and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure training, coaching, and feedback for new employees.
• Identify training opportunities and goal setting.
• Submit work orders as needed.
• Follow safety/regulatory policies and report concerns.
• Occasionally operate in the work area.
• Review and discuss Daily Production Board.

Opportunity for a 2nd Shift Group Lead in the Fabrication/Welding work cell at our Jonesboro, AR facility. The work schedule is 2nd shift Monday through Thursday 4:30 PM to 3 AM daily.

The Build (Responsibilities)

• Oversee the day-to-day operation while providing technical support to associates in given work area(s).
• Work with production supervisors to carry out production plans by setting priorities.
• Report to production supervisors or appropriate members of management regarding associate issues.
• Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
• Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve issues or conflicts.
• Ensure proper training, coaching, and feedback to new employees.
• Assess, identify, and address training opportunities, including job skills training and goal setting.
• Submit work orders when needed.
• Responsible for following safety/regulatory policies and procedures, as well as reporting safety/regulatory concerns to the Production, Safety, or Quality Manager.
• Willingness to help as an operator in work area.
• Ability to understand, review, and speak about the Daily Production Board.
• Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Ability to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as required.
