Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an EVS Tech II in Winfield, IL to support patient care areas with cleaning and sanitation for the hospital environment. This casual role requires weekend coverage with hours 7:00 am–3:30 pm and no guaranteed weekly hours or benefits.

You will follow safety protocols, stock supplies, and maintain clean, safe spaces while collaborating with hospital staff. Prior experience in healthcare or hospitality is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must follow oral and written instructions.
• Must communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must work independently.
• Preferred: 1–3 years of environmental services experience in healthcare or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, offices, public areas, and treatment rooms daily.
• Stock paper items and supplies as needed or designated.
• Maintain carts and equipment in clean, working condition.
• Promote safety with PPE, signs, and proper handling of chemicals.
• Notify supervisor of equipment repairs and safety hazards.
• Provide directions and assist patients and customers.
• Demonstrate teamwork across departments and meet schedules.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.
