Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Evening Shift in Chicago, IL. The role offers a flat rate of $60.00 per hour and runs for approximately 12 weeks, with potential extensions based on staffing needs.

The RN will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring safety and adherence to EMTALA. A current RN license, BLS, ALS, and PALS are required; CEN and BSN are preferred. Certifications must be current upon hire.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license.
• BLS, ALS, PALS certifications current on hire and maintained.
• CEN preferred; BSN preferred.
• ECRN/MICN within 12 months of hire; other facility certs as required.
• NRP within 90 days; TNCC within 12 months; TNCC preferred for non-trauma facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing nursing process in Telemetry and Emergency Department.
• Direct patient care within scope of practice; educate patient/family and supervise staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physician and coordinate care.
