Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Acute Care Hospital Registrar 1 to support the Emergency Center at Grosse Pointe Hospital. You will register patients, collect demographics and financial data, and assist with insurance verification and referrals.

Responsibilities include navigating EPIC, scheduling, and providing patient way finding while upholding privacy and compliance standards. Evening shifts, 28 hours weekly, with weekends every other week, in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience customer service or health care.
• Must be 18 years of age to co-sign legal documents.
• Proficient in medical terminology and 30 wpm typing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, register visits and admit types in EPIC.
• Collect demographic/financial data and scan forms into the record.
• Verify insurance, obtain referrals and educate on authorization requirements.
• Provide patient way finding and assist with billing and scheduling as needed.
• Maintain compliance with privacy, consent forms and hospital policies.
