Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Lead Nurse in Milford, MA to coordinate patient flow and manage department resources under the direction of Nursing leadership. This role emphasizes quality care, regulatory adherence, and staff development to support a high-performing team.

The position requires an accredited nursing degree, MA RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with a minimum of 3 years in a related nursing specialty. Leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current RN License in Massachusetts.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in current specialty.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and conflict management skills.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to staff, including scheduling and patient care assignments.
• Serve as a clinical expert and resource; assist with orientation and staff development.
• Promote quality patient care and staff satisfaction through effective communication and resource management.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care; supervise nursing staff and inform leadership of issues.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Foster a professional environment that encourages open communication and continuous learning.
